Since the beginning of Democratique Socks in 2011 we have tried to close a gap in the market between crazy colorful graphic based socks to "boring" dress solid socks. Both can be cool but we´re in the gap between - the gap we saw back in 2011 that was the reason why we started Democratique Socks.

In general we have 3 different categories. Originals, Relax and Athletique Classique.
- Originals is what you call a standard sock but we do it in high quality. This can be our solids, pique, polkdots, stripes and more.
- Relax is all our heavier knitted melange socks with various knitting techniques. It could be our most popular Relax Chunky Supermelange, Waffle Knit, Schooner, Rhombe and more. Heavier in the winter time but loose enough in the knitting to use all year around.
- Athletique Classique is the tennis or tube sock from Democratique Socks. This category has been growing from day one and exploded after our collab with EDWIN Jeans. Its made in various combinations of stripes, icons and logos.

Ribbed Knit vs. Flat Knit: What the Construction Actually Changes
Sock construction is not just a manufacturing detail — it decides how a sock fits, how it looks under a trouser or sneaker, and how long it holds its shape. The two constructions you will run into most often are ribbed knit and flat knit, and each one has a clear job to do.
Ribbed socks
A ribbed knit alternates vertical columns of knit and purl stitches, which creates the raised, textured lines you see on a classic dress sock. That structure pulls the fabric in slightly, so a ribbed sock grips the calf on its own without needing tight elastic, and it keeps its shape through a full day of sitting, walking and standing. Flat knit and melange socks
A flat knit produces a smoother, single-surface fabric with no raised ribbing. It is the more relaxed cousin of the rib knit — softer against the leg, with more of its visual texture coming from the yarn itself, as in a melange blend, rather than from the stitch pattern.
