Returns & Refunds
Return windows
- Full-price items: 30 days from the day you receive your order.
- Discounted items (sale items, multipack savings or orders using a discount code): 14 days from the day you receive your order.
- Gift cards cannot be returned.
Socks must be unworn, unwashed and in their original packaging.
EU right of withdrawal
If you live in the EU, you have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. This applies to all items, including discounted ones. Our 30-day policy for full-price items comes on top of this right and does not limit it.
How to return
- Email hello@democratiquesocks.com with your order number and the items you want to return.
- We reply with return instructions within 1 business day.

Please send your return as a parcel delivered to this address. Do not send it to a parcel shop or drop point, as we can’t collect it there. Return shipping is paid by the customer, and we recommend a tracked service. Please don’t send items back before contacting us.
Refunds
Once we have received and checked your return, we refund the full item price to your original payment method within 10 business days. If you cancel your whole order under the EU right of withdrawal, we also refund the original standard shipping cost. Your bank may need a few extra days to show the refund.
Exchanges
The quickest way to get a different size or colour is to return the item for a refund and place a new order.
Damaged, faulty or wrong items
Contact us within 14 days of noticing the problem, with a photo if possible. We’ll replace the item or refund you, and we cover the shipping. Under Danish law you have a 2-year right to complain about defects (reklamationsret).
