What is a hand-linked toe seam?

A hand-linked toe is closed by hand using a single thread, creating a virtually flat seam with no ridge. Mass-market socks leave a small ridge you can feel through dress shoes. The hand-linked finish is used by every premium sock brand of consequence.

Are Democratique socks certified organic?

Yes. The cotton is certified organic. The finished sock carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, testing every component — fibre, dye, elastic, thread — for harmful substances.

How long do Democratique socks last?

3-5 years of regular wear with proper care. Wash inside out at 30 degrees C, air dry. Do not tumble dry.

The Relax Collection is built for the weekend, the sofa, and the slow morning. These are heavier, chunkier socks than the Originals Fine Rib — knitted in a pronounced heavy rib that creates visible texture, warmth, and a satisfying weight on the foot. Styles include the Heavy Rib Supermelange in Black/Off White, Navy/Off White, Light Grey Melange, and multicolour melange blends, plus the Fence Supermelange, Sailor Knit, and Slub Knit constructions.
