A hand-linked toe is closed by hand using a single thread, creating a virtually flat seam with no ridge. Mass-market socks leave a small ridge you can feel through dress shoes. The hand-linked finish is used by every premium sock brand of consequence.

Yes. The cotton is certified organic. The finished sock carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, testing every component — fibre, dye, elastic, thread — for harmful substances.

How long do Democratique socks last?

The Athletique Classique Clean Stripes is built on a clear white ground with coloured stripe bands at the cuff — designed to be worn visibly above white sneakers, chunky trainers, and loafers.
