Sock Care Guide – How to Make Your Socks Last Longer

To keep your socks comfortable, durable, and looking new for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.

1. Wash Socks Inside Out

Always turn socks inside out before washing. This helps remove sweat, bacteria, and skin particles while protecting the outer fabric and colors.

2. Wash at Low Temperature

Wash socks at 30–40°C (86–104°F). Lower temperatures protect cotton fibers and elastic threads, helping socks keep their shape and durability.

3. Wash Before First Wear

New socks should be washed before the first use. This removes production residues and allows the fibers to soften and settle naturally.

4. Avoid Tumble Drying

Whenever possible, air dry your socks. High heat from tumble dryers can weaken elastic fibers and shorten the lifespan of your socks.

5. Wash with Similar Colors

To maintain vibrant colors:

  • wash dark socks with dark clothing

  • wash white socks separately

  • wash bright colors with similar shades

6. Do Not Overload the Washing Machine

Avoid overloading your washing machine. Giving socks enough space reduces friction and prevents unnecessary fabric wear.

7. Store Socks Properly

Fold socks together instead of stretching them into tight balls. This helps preserve the elasticity and shape of the sock.

3-Pack Originals Fine Rib Socks — Forest Green / Iris Blue / Light Grey Melange

Two grounded colours and one that catches you off guard. Forest Green and Light Grey Melange are both muted, earthy, and broadly wearable — the kind of socks that earn their place quietly. Iris Blue is the third: a soft blue-violet between periwinkle and lavender that sits in a register neither of the other two touches. The combination works because the two neutrals give the Iris Blue room to be noticed without competing with each other. Three pairs, three distinct wardrobe positions, zero redundancy. 60 DKK per pair, same as buying individually. 200-needle organic combed cotton, hand-linked toe, OEKO-TEX certified. Designed in Copenhagen.

What's in the Pack — All 3 Pairs
Forest Green Warm, deep earthy green — formal-capable, broadly wearable, photographed with Reebok trainers to show its casual breadth. Works with grey wool, brown leather, dark denim.
Iris Blue A soft blue-violet between periwinkle and lavender — cool, muted, and closer to blue than purple. The unexpected accent. The colour people ask about. Works beautifully with grey and white.
Light Grey Melange The only heathered colour in the Fine Rib range — a textured mixed-fibre light grey. Photographed in Paris (sofa and street). The neutral that provides texture rather than depth.

The curation logic: Forest Green and Light Grey Melange are both muted, cool-to-warm neutrals that can disappear into an outfit when that is what the outfit needs. Iris Blue cannot disappear — it is present, distinctive, and sits in the blue-violet zone that is genuinely unusual in a sock drawer. Together the three make a rotation that covers the full range from quiet to noticed: reach for Light Grey Melange when the outfit has enough going on; Forest Green when you want an earthy grounded accent; Iris Blue when the outfit is simple and the sock is the detail.

The lifestyle images make the case: Light Grey Melange photographed in Paris in two versions (sofa, street), confirming its versatility across contexts. Forest Green with Reebok trainers confirms its casual ease. Iris Blue is the product shot — precise, clean, and unmistakable.

FAQ

What are the three colours — and what does "Irr" mean?

"Irr" is the internal SKU abbreviation for Iris Blue — a soft blue-violet that sits between periwinkle and lavender, closer to blue than purple. The three colours are: Forest Green (warm deep earthy green, formal-capable), Iris Blue (cool blue-violet, the unexpected accent), and Light Grey Melange (the only heathered, textured grey in the Fine Rib range). Three completely different registers, none of them redundant.

Iris Blue seems like an unusual pairing with Forest Green — why do they work together?

They work precisely because they are different. Forest Green is warm and earthy; Iris Blue is cool and blue-violet. Both are muted — neither is saturated or bright — which places them in the same restrained register despite their different colour families. Light Grey Melange acts as the neutral bridge: it is compatible with both, and its presence means the three never need to be worn together to feel like a coherent collection. Each works independently, and together they cover tonal ground that no single-register 3-pack can match.

What is Iris Blue exactly — how does it differ from Navy or Palm Spring Blue?

Navy is a formal dark blue — the foundation formal neutral. Palm Spring Blue is a sun-faded casual light blue with a warm quality. Iris Blue occupies a different zone entirely: a soft blue-violet between periwinkle and lavender, with a purple quality that neither Navy nor Palm Spring Blue has. It is cooler and more unexpected, and sits in a register that most sock drawers simply don't have covered. Against grey trousers and white sneakers it reads particularly well — the cool violet complements the neutral without competing with it. See the light blue socks guide →

Is Forest Green formal enough for a suit?

Yes — Forest Green is one of the most formal-capable accent colours in the Fine Rib range. It is a deep, warm green with no brightness or saturation, which means it reads as a considered earthy accent rather than a bold statement against grey and charcoal suit trousers. The product images show it with Reebok trainers to demonstrate its casual breadth — but it is equally appropriate under a suit cuff. Dark, muted, warm accent colours behave formally; Forest Green qualifies on all three counts.

Are all three pairs organic and certified?

Yes. All three are made from 75% organic combed cotton, 23% polyamide, and 2% elastane. Every pair carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, confirming every component — including all dyes — has been independently tested and verified free of harmful substances.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — worldwide, with free shipping above 75€ / 75£ / 100 USD / 400 DKK. 99.2% of orders ship the same day. Full shipping information →
