Sock Care Guide – How to Make Your Socks Last Longer

To keep your socks comfortable, durable, and looking new for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.

1. Wash Socks Inside Out

Always turn socks inside out before washing. This helps remove sweat, bacteria, and skin particles while protecting the outer fabric and colors.

2. Wash at Low Temperature

Wash socks at 30–40°C (86–104°F). Lower temperatures protect cotton fibers and elastic threads, helping socks keep their shape and durability.

3. Wash Before First Wear

New socks should be washed before the first use. This removes production residues and allows the fibers to soften and settle naturally.

4. Avoid Tumble Drying

Whenever possible, air dry your socks. High heat from tumble dryers can weaken elastic fibers and shorten the lifespan of your socks.

5. Wash with Similar Colors

To maintain vibrant colors:

  • wash dark socks with dark clothing

  • wash white socks separately

  • wash bright colors with similar shades

6. Do Not Overload the Washing Machine

Avoid overloading your washing machine. Giving socks enough space reduces friction and prevents unnecessary fabric wear.

7. Store Socks Properly

Fold socks together instead of stretching them into tight balls. This helps preserve the elasticity and shape of the sock.

5-Pack Originals Fine Rib Socks — Forest Green / Hot Chocolate / Bordeaux / Pale Pink / Iris Blue

Five colours that have no obvious relationship to each other — and that is precisely the point. Forest Green, Hot Chocolate, Bordeaux, Pale Pink, and Iris Blue are five socks from five different tonal registers, selected to build a wardrobe rather than match a single outfit. Together they cover the earthy-warm end (Forest Green, Hot Chocolate), the cool formal accent (Bordeaux), the near-neutral softness (Pale Pink), and the cool blue-violet surprise (Iris Blue). 56 DKK per pair — 7% below the single-pair price. Same 200-needle organic combed cotton and hand-linked toe, OEKO-TEX certified. Designed in Copenhagen.

What's in the Pack — All 5 Pairs
Forest Green Warm, deep earthy green. The accent colour for the brown leather wardrobe — formal-capable, pairs with grey suits, dark denim, tan suede.
Hot Chocolate The only brown in the Fine Rib range. A warm, rich mid-brown that belongs in the leather shoe wardrobe like nothing else.
Bordeaux Deep, cool wine-red. The most formal accent in the pack — strong with charcoal and navy suits, restrained and sophisticated with brown leather.
Pale Pink The colourful neutral. Desaturated enough to behave like a warm beige, pink enough to be unmistakeable. Works with grey, navy, white, and beige.
Iris Blue A soft blue-violet between periwinkle and lavender — cool, muted, and closer to blue than purple. The unexpected cool accent that rewards attention. Works beautifully with grey and white.

The palette logic of this pack: three colours work primarily with warm or earthy wardrobes (Forest Green, Hot Chocolate, Bordeaux), one functions as a warm near-neutral across almost any outfit (Pale Pink), and one introduces a cool, unexpected accent that distinguishes the sock drawer from the predictable (Iris Blue). The lifestyle images show Bordeaux worn with a tote bag and leather loafers — confirming this pack's spiritual home: dressed, considered, warm-palette smart casual.

FAQ

What are the exact five colours in this pack?

Forest Green (warm deep green), Hot Chocolate (warm mid-brown — the only brown in the range), Bordeaux (cool wine-red), Pale Pink (warm desaturated pink near-neutral), and Iris Blue (soft blue-violet). All five are solid Fine Rib colours in the DS1006 series — the same construction as every individual pair in the range.

What is the colour logic connecting these five?

These five do not share a single palette — that is intentional. Forest Green, Hot Chocolate, and Bordeaux are warm-to-cool earthy tones that all belong in the brown leather and grey wool wardrobe. Pale Pink introduces a near-neutral softness that works with almost everything. Iris Blue brings a cool, unexpected blue-violet accent from a completely different register. Together the five cover Monday through Friday for a wardrobe that already has black and navy covered and wants five more considered choices.

Is this a good gift?

Yes — particularly for someone who already owns well-made dark neutrals and is ready to add considered colour to their rotation. The five colours here are all wearable and practical, none of them are novelty or bold-to-the-point-of-unwearable, and the mix covers both formal and casual occasions. The lifestyle image — Bordeaux with a tote bag and leather loafers — captures the intended audience exactly: someone with taste, not someone who needs convincing about wearing colour.

Are all five pairs organic and certified?

Yes. All five are made from 75% organic combed cotton, 23% polyamide, and 2% elastane. Every pair carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, confirming every component — including all dyes — has been independently tested and verified free of harmful substances.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — worldwide, with free shipping above 75€ / 75£ / 100 USD / 400 DKK. 99.2% of orders ship the same day. Full shipping information →
