Sock Care Guide – How to Make Your Socks Last Longer

To keep your socks comfortable, durable, and looking new for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.

1. Wash Socks Inside Out

Always turn socks inside out before washing. This helps remove sweat, bacteria, and skin particles while protecting the outer fabric and colors.

2. Wash at Low Temperature

Wash socks at 30–40°C (86–104°F). Lower temperatures protect cotton fibers and elastic threads, helping socks keep their shape and durability.

3. Wash Before First Wear

New socks should be washed before the first use. This removes production residues and allows the fibers to soften and settle naturally.

4. Avoid Tumble Drying

Whenever possible, air dry your socks. High heat from tumble dryers can weaken elastic fibers and shorten the lifespan of your socks.

5. Wash with Similar Colors

To maintain vibrant colors:

  • wash dark socks with dark clothing

  • wash white socks separately

  • wash bright colors with similar shades

6. Do Not Overload the Washing Machine

Avoid overloading your washing machine. Giving socks enough space reduces friction and prevents unnecessary fabric wear.

7. Store Socks Properly

Fold socks together instead of stretching them into tight balls. This helps preserve the elasticity and shape of the sock.

3-Pack Originals Fine Rib Socks — Light Grey Melange / Tough Green / Forest Green

Three colours from the same muted, considered register — none of them obvious, none of them difficult. Light Grey Melange is the only heathered colour in the Fine Rib range, providing texture where everything else is flat. Army Green is the utility neutral that goes with every shoe. Forest Green is the warmer, darker accent that earns its place under a suit. One of the product images says it directly: Tough Green worn beneath the cuff of a navy suit, white shirt, tan leather — and it works completely. 60 DKK per pair, same as buying individually. 200-needle organic combed cotton, hand-linked toe, OEKO-TEX certified. Designed in Copenhagen.

What's in the Pack — All 3 Pairs
Light Grey Melange The only heathered colour in the Fine Rib range — a textured, mixed-fibre light grey that reads differently from every flat grey or charcoal. The neutral with texture rather than depth.
Tough Green The utility neutral — a cool, muted khaki-green that goes with every shoe colour and every trouser. Photographed here beneath a navy suit. Understated enough to be everywhere.
Forest Green Deeper and warmer than Army Green — a rich earthy green that is formal-capable and photographed here as a clean product shot. The accent that sits quietly next to grey and navy.

The palette logic here is tonal rather than contrasting: all three colours live in the grey-green zone — cool, muted, and considered. Light Grey Melange is the lightest, providing the only textured surface in the range. Tough Green bridges grey and green — it is the colour that borrows from both. Forest Green anchors the pack with the deepest, warmest note. Together they cover the grey-suit wardrobe from neutral to accent without introducing anything that requires explanation.

The key differentiator within the greens: Army Green reads as a utility neutral — cooler, more muted, functional; Forest Green reads as a warm accent — deeper, earthier, more formal-capable. They are complementary rather than redundant: the same wardrobe needs both.

Best footwear across the pack:

  • Brown and tan leather — Army Green and Forest Green connect naturally to warm leather; Light Grey Melange provides cool contrast — see loafer guide →
  • Black leather Oxford and Derby — Forest Green and Light Grey Melange both work in formal contexts
  • White leather sneakers — Light Grey Melange is particularly strong here; Army Green reads as earthy — see sneaker guide →
  • Tan suede Chelsea and chukka boots — see boots guide →
  • Grey suede — Light Grey Melange tones here beautifully

Best trousers: Charcoal and mid-grey wool suit trousers (the definitive pairing for all three) · Navy suit trousers · Dark and mid-indigo denim · Olive and khaki chinos (tonal with Army Green) · Camel and cream linen

FAQ

What are the exact three colours — the product title just says "Grey / Green / Forest Green"?

The three specific colours are: Light Grey Melange (the only heathered, textured grey in the Fine Rib range — a mixed-fibre light grey, not a flat charcoal), Army Green (the utility neutral — a cool, muted khaki-green that bridges grey and green), and Forest Green (a deeper, warmer, more formal-capable earthy green). The product images confirm all three: the Light Grey Melange and Forest Green product shots, and the Army Green worn beneath a navy suit in the lifestyle image.

What makes Light Grey Melange different from other grey socks?

Light Grey Melange is the only heathered colour in the Fine Rib range — knitted from fibres of slightly varying tones, creating a subtle texture across the surface rather than a flat, uniform colour. This gives it a visual depth that flat grey cannot achieve. It is the lightest grey in the range, sits closest to light heather grey or flannel grey, and provides texture without pattern. See the individual product page → for more detail.

What is the difference between Army Green and Forest Green — aren't they too similar to be in the same pack?

They look similar at a glance but serve different wardrobe purposes. Army Green is cooler, more muted, and more utility-adjacent — the green that reads as a neutral and disappears into the outfit. It is the sock equivalent of an olive jacket: present but not demanding. Forest Green is warmer, deeper, and more accent-forward — the green that connects to brown leather and earthy autumn colours and is clearly deliberate. Owning both means having both the utility option and the earthy formal option from the same colour family — which is exactly the right level of rotation in this register.

Is Army Green appropriate with a suit — the product image seems to suggest it?

Yes — the lifestyle image shows Army Green worn precisely with a navy suit and white shirt, and it works. The rule for suit-appropriate sock colours is the same regardless of colour: dark, muted, and not competing with the suit for attention. Army Green qualifies on all three counts. Against navy suiting in particular it reads as a considered earthy complement rather than a mismatched accent.

Are all three pairs organic and certified?

Yes. All three are made from 75% organic combed cotton, 23% polyamide, and 2% elastane. Every pair carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, confirming every component — including all dyes — has been independently tested and verified free of harmful substances.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — worldwide, with free shipping above 75€ / 75£ / 100 USD / 400 DKK. 99.2% of orders ship the same day. Full shipping information →
