Sock Care Guide – How to Make Your Socks Last Longer

To keep your socks comfortable, durable, and looking new for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.

1. Wash Socks Inside Out

Always turn socks inside out before washing. This helps remove sweat, bacteria, and skin particles while protecting the outer fabric and colors.

2. Wash at Low Temperature

Wash socks at 30–40°C (86–104°F). Lower temperatures protect cotton fibers and elastic threads, helping socks keep their shape and durability.

3. Wash Before First Wear

New socks should be washed before the first use. This removes production residues and allows the fibers to soften and settle naturally.

4. Avoid Tumble Drying

Whenever possible, air dry your socks. High heat from tumble dryers can weaken elastic fibers and shorten the lifespan of your socks.

5. Wash with Similar Colors

To maintain vibrant colors:

  • wash dark socks with dark clothing

  • wash white socks separately

  • wash bright colors with similar shades

6. Do Not Overload the Washing Machine

Avoid overloading your washing machine. Giving socks enough space reduces friction and prevents unnecessary fabric wear.

7. Store Socks Properly

Fold socks together instead of stretching them into tight balls. This helps preserve the elasticity and shape of the sock.

3-Pack Originals Fine Rib Socks — Pale Pink / Iris Blue / Bordeaux

Three colours that share exactly one quality: none of them are obvious. Pale Pink, Iris Blue, and Bordeaux come from three completely different tonal registers — warm near-neutral, cool blue-violet, deep formal wine-red — and together they form the natural next step for the sock drawer that already has black and navy covered. The lifestyle image says it clearly: flowers, light, considered. 60 DKK per pair, same as buying individually — the value here is the curation. Same 200-needle organic combed cotton and hand-linked toe, OEKO-TEX certified. Designed in Copenhagen.

What's in the Pack — All 3 Pairs
Pale Pink The colourful neutral. Desaturated enough to behave like a warm beige, unmistakeably pink on closer inspection. Works with grey, white, navy, and beige — wider reach than it looks.
Iris Blue A soft blue-violet sitting between periwinkle and lavender — cool, muted, and closer to blue than purple. The unexpected accent that rewards a second look.
Bordeaux Deep, cool wine-red. The most formal of the three — strong with charcoal and navy suits, quietly sophisticated with brown leather and grey flannel.

The logic of this selection: Pale Pink operates as a near-neutral that opens any outfit without demanding attention. Iris Blue is the most distinctive of the three — a blue-violet that sits in a register most sock drawers don't have covered. Bordeaux is the formal anchor — the one you reach for with a suit and brown leather shoes when you want considered rather than conventional. Three socks, three different jobs, all from the same premium Fine Rib construction.

Best footwear across the pack:

  • White and cream leather sneakers — all three colours pop cleanly against a white shoe — see sneaker guide →
  • Tan suede and brown leather loafers — Bordeaux and Pale Pink particularly strong — see loafer guide →
  • Grey suede Oxford and Derby shoes — Iris Blue reads beautifully against grey
  • Black leather — Bordeaux works here in formal contexts
  • Tan suede Chelsea and chukka boots — see boots guide →

Best trousers: Charcoal and mid-grey wool (strong with all three) · White and off-white chinos · Navy suit trousers (Bordeaux and Iris Blue) · Light denim · Camel and sand linen

FAQ

What are the three colours — and what does "Irr" mean?

"Irr" is the internal SKU abbreviation for Iris Blue — a soft blue-violet that sits between periwinkle and lavender, closer to blue than purple. The three colours are Pale Pink (warm desaturated near-neutral), Iris Blue (cool blue-violet), and Bordeaux (deep cool wine-red). Three completely different registers, deliberately so.

Is Pale Pink a colour men can wear?

Yes — Pale Pink in the Fine Rib is one of the most versatile colours in the range precisely because it behaves more like a warm neutral than a statement pink. At this level of desaturation, it reads as a considered departure from beige rather than as a bold colour choice. It works with grey, white, navy, and cream — the same outfit contexts as a warm-toned neutral. The product images confirm the intended register: flowers, light, ease, not bravado.

What makes Iris Blue different from Navy or Palm Spring Blue?

Navy is a formal dark blue — the foundation formal neutral. Palm Spring Blue is a sun-faded light blue, casual and summery. Iris Blue occupies a completely different position: a soft blue-violet between periwinkle and lavender, with a purple quality that neither Navy nor Palm Spring Blue has. It reads as cool and slightly unexpected — the blue that people ask about rather than take for granted. Against grey trousers and white sneakers it is particularly strong.

Can Bordeaux be worn with suits?

Yes — Bordeaux is one of the most formal-capable accent colours in the Fine Rib range. It is a deep, cool wine-red with no brightness or warmth, which means it reads as sophisticated rather than bold against charcoal, dark navy, and mid-grey suit trousers. With brown leather Oxford shoes and grey flannel it creates the kind of restrained colour accent that formal dressing benefits from. See the guide to wearing red socks →

Are all three pairs organic and certified?

Yes. All three are made from 75% organic combed cotton, 23% polyamide, and 2% elastane. Every pair carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, confirming every component — including all dyes — has been independently tested and verified free of harmful substances.

Is this a good gift?

Yes — specifically for someone who already wears quality socks but whose rotation is limited to dark neutrals. These three are the right next step: none are bold to the point of unwearable, all are distinctive enough to be noticed, and the curation is clearly considered rather than random. A strong choice for anyone who appreciates colour without needing it explained.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — worldwide, with free shipping above 75€ / 75£ / 100 USD / 400 DKK. 99.2% of orders ship the same day. Full shipping information →
