Sock Care Guide – How to Make Your Socks Last Longer
To keep your socks comfortable, durable, and looking new for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.
1. Wash Socks Inside Out
Always turn socks inside out before washing. This helps remove sweat, bacteria, and skin particles while protecting the outer fabric and colors.
2. Wash at Low Temperature
Wash socks at 30–40°C (86–104°F). Lower temperatures protect cotton fibers and elastic threads, helping socks keep their shape and durability.
3. Wash Before First Wear
New socks should be washed before the first use. This removes production residues and allows the fibers to soften and settle naturally.
4. Avoid Tumble Drying
Whenever possible, air dry your socks. High heat from tumble dryers can weaken elastic fibers and shorten the lifespan of your socks.
5. Wash with Similar Colors
To maintain vibrant colors:
-
wash dark socks with dark clothing
-
wash white socks separately
-
wash bright colors with similar shades
6. Do Not Overload the Washing Machine
Avoid overloading your washing machine. Giving socks enough space reduces friction and prevents unnecessary fabric wear.
7. Store Socks Properly
Fold socks together instead of stretching them into tight balls. This helps preserve the elasticity and shape of the sock.

Originals Fine Rib Socks — Forest Green
Navy disappears into a suit. Forest green announces the ankle — intentionally. A rich, earthy tone that reads as serious in formal settings while making the outfit visibly considered. The same 200-needle organic combed cotton construction and hand-linked toe as every Originals fine rib, knitted since 2011 in Istanbul. OEKO-TEX certified. Especially strong with brown leather shoes and earth-tone wardrobes.
Colour & Styling
Forest green occupies the same family of dark, formal-capable tones as navy and charcoal — but adds warmth. Where navy is a cool universal neutral, forest green is a warm earthy accent that earns its place with the right pairing.

FAQ
What makes forest green dress socks different from navy dress socks?
The construction is identical — both use 200-needle organic combed cotton with a hand-linked toe seam. The difference is colour role. Navy is a cool-toned universal neutral that works across nearly every suit and trouser combination. Forest green is a warm-toned earthy colour that pairs specifically with brown leather shoes, olive trousers, and earth-tone outfits. It is more visually distinctive at the ankle and best suited to wardrobes that already have the neutral bases covered.
What shoes pair best with forest green dress socks?
Brown leather is the strongest pairing — Oxford, Derby, monk strap, and loafer styles in tan, cognac, or dark brown. The warm undertones of both the shoe and the forest green sock create a coherent palette. Tan suede Chelsea boots and clean minimal sneakers also work well. Black shoes are less compatible, as the warm-cool contrast can feel disconnected rather than intentional.
Are forest green socks suitable for business formal dress codes?
Yes, in most business formal and business casual environments. The forest green shade is dark and muted — not bright or saturated — and the 200-needle fine-rib construction gives the same refined appearance as a navy or charcoal dress sock. It works best paired with brown leather shoes. For strict black-tie or very conservative dress codes, navy or black remains the safer choice.
Are the Originals Fine Rib Forest Green socks made from organic cotton?
Yes. Made from 75% organic combed cotton, 23% polyamide, and 2% elastane. The finished sock — including the forest green dye — carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, confirming every component has been tested and verified free of harmful substances.
Can I buy these as part of a multipack?
Yes — purchasing 10 or more products unlocks a 15% discount. Forest green pairs naturally in a rotation with navy, charcoal, and bordeaux. See all curated multipacks →
