Sock Care Guide – How to Make Your Socks Last Longer
To keep your socks comfortable, durable, and looking new for as long as possible, follow these simple care tips.
1. Wash Socks Inside Out
Always turn socks inside out before washing. This helps remove sweat, bacteria, and skin particles while protecting the outer fabric and colors.
2. Wash at Low Temperature
Wash socks at 30–40°C (86–104°F). Lower temperatures protect cotton fibers and elastic threads, helping socks keep their shape and durability.
3. Wash Before First Wear
New socks should be washed before the first use. This removes production residues and allows the fibers to soften and settle naturally.
4. Avoid Tumble Drying
Whenever possible, air dry your socks. High heat from tumble dryers can weaken elastic fibers and shorten the lifespan of your socks.
5. Wash with Similar Colors
To maintain vibrant colors:

6. Do Not Overload the Washing Machine

The Athletique Classique (DS1528) is a heavier, chunkier crew sock built to be worn visibly above the shoe. For dress shoes, choose the Fine Rib. For sneakers, loafers, and visible crew socks, the Athletique Classique.
Is there also a solid Black Fine Rib dress sock?
Yes — the Fine Rib Black is a solid single-colour thin dress sock. Same colour, completely different construction and occasion.
