What is a hand-linked toe seam?

A hand-linked toe is closed by hand using a single thread, creating a virtually flat seam with no ridge. Mass-market socks leave a small ridge you can feel through dress shoes. The hand-linked finish is used by every premium sock brand of consequence.

Yes. The cotton is certified organic. The finished sock carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, testing every component — fibre, dye, elastic, thread — for harmful substances.

Melange Socks

The Relax Collection is Democratique's heavy-rib weekend sock — knitted from organic combed cotton in chunky supermelange blends. Where the Originals Fine Rib is built for dress shoes and tailoring, the Relax is built for boots, chunky sneakers, and the weekend end of the wardrobe.

The supermelange construction twists multiple yarn tones together before knitting — producing a textured, multi-tone fabric that reads differently from a solid colour. The five-tone blends shift in appearance depending on the light and the outfit, which is why a single pair of Relax supermelange socks works across a wider range of contexts than a solid colour.
